In a surprising collaboration that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. According to the official announcement, "A strange confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.
The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
